PREAMBLE

Being cognizant of the great need of an efficient, strong, progressive, united constituency for the Baptist Churches of Rockford, IL and Vicinity, to fulfill the great commission, as given to the church by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; we the messengers of Baptist Churches of Rockford, IL and Vicinity pledge our existence to the development of a strong Christian fellowship, the promotion of sound Doctrine, Stewardship, Christian Education, Evangelism and Missions, therefore form and adopt this Constitution and these by-laws to govern the affairs of this Baptist District Association.

ARTICLE II

Name of Organization The name of the organization shall be the
Rockford Baptist District Association, Inc.

ARTICLE II

Objective and Purpose
The purpose of the organization will be:


Section 1. For educating, strengthening, and edifying one another in faith, by developing and maintaining a spiritual growth through the teaching of God's Word, through Christian education, seminars, workshops and training sessions. Missions, Education, and Evangelism will be our main thrusts.


Section 2. To financially support religious schools and institutions of a Christian learning.


Section 3. To further enhance the "fellowship and unity" of the Missionary Baptist Family.


Section 4. To adhere to the tenets of the Baptist Faith and Biblical Doctrine.

ARTICLE III

Membership Eligibility
Section 1. Any Baptist Church that supports the Objective and Purpose of the Association and meets the requirements set forth in this document is eligible for membership.


Section 2. Individuals may become Annual Members of the Association by paying a fee of $25.00, providing such individuals are in accord with the objectives with the Association, Baptist tenets and Baptist Beliefs. Annual Members may not discuss questions, may not serve on committees, may not vote nor hold office in the Association.

Section 3. New churches seeking membership to the Association shall be screened by the new pastor and church committee through the Advisory Board of the Association.


Section 4. Any Church that did not enroll in the previous fiscal year, shall be paying monthly representation will come back as a new church.
